SoundPrint: The App for Finding Quiet Places and Measuring Sound Levels
SoundPrint is a free Android app that provides users with access to the largest and only public database of sound levels taken at 100K+ venues worldwide. It is an essential tool for anyone looking to find quiet places to connect with others and preserve and promote hearing health.
The app allows users to search for venues such as restaurants, cafes, arenas, and retailers based on noise level (quiet, moderate, or noisy). Users can also rate and submit the noise level of a venue to SoundPrint's public database. For select Samsung smartphone models, the app can be used as a calibrated decibel meter to measure sound levels and submit them to the database.
